Downgrading CFW 5.00 M33-4

Was just wondering how to i go about downgrading CFW 5.00 M33-4 to CFW 3.71 if at all possible? I googled it and couldnt come up with anything.

Of course it is possible. Totally useless, but possible. A Pandora Battery definitely works, ChickHEN should work and going through the recovery console might actually work too. But why would you want to do that?

Well heres my issue... Ever since i downloaded/installed the version with skype. A gray line has appeared on the side of my screen, and the sound doesnt work on any of my games unless i put it in standby and turn it back on. Which only works about half the time when i play genesis cause the machine just freezes and shuts down. And when i run N64 on it i have no other option other than to play it without sound. So I figured downgrading it to a earlier version before skype would take care of the issue.

Any ideas other than send it to sony for a 89 dollar kick in the ass. Or buying a new or used one lol.

Sony won't touch it. It's modified.
Also as far as I remember 5.00 M33-4 was causing problems with most people who used it. I would actually go the other way around and instead of downgrading I would upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 and see if that fixes the problem. ChickHEN should still work then, so a downgrade without a Pandora Battery should still be possible.

That would still have skype on it... Once skype goes then that annoying gray line should go.
