whenever i try to play any game on my PSP i get the error 80020148 and i have no idea on how to fix it.

This probably means that:

1. You don't have Custom Firmware (in other words, your PSP isn't hacked)

or

2. You are on Custom Firmware, but are attempting to play a game which is newer and thus requires a newer Custom Firmware

Then the games wouldn't show up at all. The 2nd suggestion is good though. It would help if you told us what games you tried to start.

hi i am also having the same problem i updated the firmware from
5.00 m33-4 to 5.50 GENB2 (full), i tried to play the new jack and daxter game and i get the same error, will this game work with this GEN firmware or do i need to upgrade to the GEN-D3 firmware ?

when i downloaded it the folder had a read me file and it stated the game was tested on 5.00 m33-6 !!
