Hi All,

Just bought a used psp 2004, it has 4.01 M33-2 CFW

Do i need to update CFW to play new games?

If so which CFW to update to and how?

Yes. Alot of updating required. CFW 5.00 M33-6. Then Update to Gen A. Then to Gen B then to Gen B2 then to Gen D then to Gen D2 then to Gen D3 then to Prometheus-3 revison 4 I think is the latest. Good place to start from what i researched.

I would only update as far as 5.00m33-6

Then add the Prometheus files to this firmware, m33 is still more stable than gen for ps1 games etc, also if using .cso files then m33 with the mms speed up is far better.
