Hi folks,
Recently bricked my psp trying to upgrade from 4.00 oe-a(think thats what it was...was a long time ago) to 5.00 m33. Turning it on now lights up the power light(orange) but nothing happens.

I bought a pandora battery and mms package on the net. The battery seems to work but the memory stick is not read(no flashing at all). Also LCD does not turn on. I heard that some of the online sellers give you shonky mms so I thought id make my own but all of the videos on youtube are made by 5 year olds and are pretty badly made.

What files should the MMS i recieved contain?

Could someone please tell me what steps i should be taking to get this psp-1002 running again. I have a pandora battery and the MMS that shipped with it as well as a bunch of spare memory sticks and batteries. I also have a card reader so i can write to the cards from my PC.

Thanks in advance!

As you were already on custom firmware you shouldn't need a pandora battery. Try starting your PSP with a normal battery and the R shoulder button pressed. Should take you into recovery menue.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Sorry should have mentioned that I can't access the recovery menu. Have also tried adjusting LCD brightness button but it does nothing. I need to boot from the mms but can't seem to make the psp read it.

I found this just for you.
Make sure you have a memory stick that you can use Preferably a 2gb
1. go to http://www.mediafire.com/?i3nztdztjnu and download the file
2. extract the folder to your desktop
3. open the folder
4. open pspgrader as an administrator
5. click on how-to use grader
6. read the instructions CAREFULLY
7. after your finished you should have a proper Magic Memory Stick
Ps: i tried it for myself and it worked perfectly
GOOD LUCK MAN :D
