I've been trying to unbrick a PSP 2001 TA-85 using DC5. When I choose to install 3.90 M33, it stops when formatting flash1. I tried dumping nand and restoring nand dump physically. This was successful, but when I again tried to install 3.90 M33, it still stops when it formats flash1. Can anything be done?

try to format the flash and increase the sizes of the flash0 and flash1

corys nandtool worked wonders for me when i used it to detect bad blocks in my nand

Thanks for the reply, kaneda. But what happens is that DC5 formats flash0, but when it formats flash1, the screen just says "Formatting flash1..." and remains like that for a long time. Can it be formatting flash1 for 10 minutes?, because that's how long its been before I decided to remove the battery and stop it. How can I use Cory's nand tool if its a full brick? I suspect flash1 has bad blocks which is why its not formatting.
