I bought a psp off of Ebay assuming that it had been bricked. I have a MMS & a Pandora Battery so thought it was an easy fix. It arrived today with the battery taped up in an obvious attempt at making a Pandora so theres me thinking I'll be able to unbrick it with the battery & mms but nothing. Any ideas what I can do or have I just wasted my cash??

I forgot to say that the green on light comes on but nothing happens, no sound or picture. Thought it was just a standard bricking that a pandora & mms would fix but apparently not.

by trying to understand with the info you have given me, assuming you are doing the pandora battery correctly.{holding down the left trigger button while inserting the battery?} also assuming that your mms is ok. then i would say its a blown fuse, or a bad screen. if you put a umd game in and you can hear the game but not see it, that would be a good way to figure that out.

Both the Pandora battery & the mms work as I have used them twice before.

There are sounds whatsoever. No whirring umd drive or start up sound. Nothing. So I'm assuming it isn't the screen. If it is a blown fuse. Any idea how I go about fixing it or how much it costs?

Thanks alot. I will try it. Although I'm not too sure on what 'bridging a fuse' means lol.

It's most likely this fuse then if it lights up green when switched on with a battery or charger in it but nothing happens? Just double checking.

Just to clarify, the green light comes on when its switched on with just the charger,no sounds or anything on screen. No green light with the battery on its own, nothing. When I put the battery AND the charger together I get a solid red light.

i'm just saying it could be. if it were me i would try other things first. i would find another brand memorey stick and try make another mms again. i wouldnt use anything larger than 1gb. i would make sure that my pandora was fully charged. i would put the battery in and turn it on holding the right button to see if by chance it would boot into recovery mode. i'm sure you have tried some of this, but i would cover every base before bridging a fuse. i read a while back that some bricks you have to do in the dark. so when you put the battery in holding the left button see if the memory card light is blinking, and if so how its blinking. if it blinks really fast then stops then its reading the card, and you would have to do the unbricking in the dark. it its blinking slow and steady then its not reading the card at all and you would know you need to try a differnt card.

if you are getting a solid red light when the battery is in and the charger in leave it until the light goes off. your problem could very well be that your pandora does not have enough charge to do the job. many options to do and try before you bridge a fuse. and just for future references. bridging the fuse is just putting a drop of solder over the fuse so that each end is connected.

Thanks for the info. Charged the Pandora up. Still didn't work. Did the whole mms & Pandora in the dark & nothing, no flashing lights on the reader, nothing. So I'm gonna go with this fuse thing I think.
