i have a slim 2000 system software 5.00 M33-4
i was told to upgrade to gen d3 so i can play psp games
but when i try to upgrade (5.50 gen-d3)flash install cfw 5.50 gen-d3
it says no found on root of your ms.is there something else i have to do to make the games work or different gen?
can somebody please tell how to do this thanks!!

Hey! I'm kinda new here in afterdawn..but i may have something to say. I have a PSP Slim 2001 version 4.01 M33-2 and i think the problem here is that you have to "downgrade" that PSP of yours to 4.01 in order to download and play games. My sister's PSP 3000 is new, and she has zero knowledge about gadgets. And so one day, time came that her PSP cannot read games anymore. But ofcourse the games are still inside the memo stick. The prob here is her PSP. I got to ask an expert about PSP's, and then he said that the PSP 3000 should be downgraded to version 5.00 or lower..cause her PSP is version 5.03.. Hope this could get you an idea and could help you.[/i][/b]

You cannot go straight from M33-4 to GEN D3.
Read the following thread, which, coincidentally, is on the very first page of this sub forum.

you have to put the 550.pbp file on the root of your ms and the update folder in your game folder.
