Haven't played my psp for a while but decided to pick it up again as there's a few new decent games coming out. I had my psp modified a while ago and the old games on it work fine but when I try to play new games like for instance "metal gear solid: peace walker", they won't play or even UMD games, it just displays the error page every time. My current system software is 3.10 OE-A so does anyone know why it plays old games that have been on it for a while but not the latest games?

new UMD games won't work AT ALL on any PSP if it's been modded.

You have to download the NEWEST system software if you want to play UMD's.
(You will need an internet connection)

I forgot to say, downloading the latest software (6.30) on your PSP will "un-mod" it!

I really like it when noobs give other noobs wrong answers.
Due to this question being already answered like a bilion times I won't answer it.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

For the time it took you to write this you could have just answered his question and cleared the confusion

And all it took was two months to realize that? (Yea, I kind of got my Smart-Ass day today)
Seriously, if you get every question spoonfed where is the motivation to learn? I myself answered this question around a dozen times by now (not only on this forum). There is a point when it just gets annoying.

All you need to do is update to 5.00M33-6, you can get it from PSP-HACKSDOTCOM and also get the Prometheus model and install it after you have 5.00 M33-6 up and running to bypass Sony's new copy protection.
