Good Morning to everyone,

I have recently purchased a psp 3000 silver one. I was very interested in figuring out how to modd it to play downloaded or ripped psp game copies. If anyone can offer a link or step by step of what needs to be done I'd appreciate. I'm not really looking into doing Homebrew, just playing PSP games off the memory stick. Any kind of advise of do's and dont's I'd appreciate.

The 3000 cannot be downgraded, it can depending on the firmware use an exploit to run custom firmware (turn off the PSP completely or let it run out of charge and you have to start again).

Use google and look into "Chickhen" there are loads of guides and video's of how to do it - this ONLY works on 5.03, if your PSP is below this then look at how to upgrade to 5.03 - DON'T go to the network update as this will take you to 5.50, if you are already above 5.03 then there is nothing currently that you can do.
