Hello! I recently bought a 16gb memory stick and have backed up about 10 games onto it. For some reason, when I went to the games menu it only displayed about five of those games. Any suggestions as to how I can get it to show all of them?

Thanks!

if all the files in the right folders, backup stick to pc, format it in psp and drag and drop the psp games to iso folder ps1/psx games to psp/game folder and try again, note any differences and let us know. what make of stick is it? also drag the savedata back over for your game saves

Thanks, I've tried that a couple of times as suggested by other forums I've read, but it still shows only a few of the games. I'm currently running 5.50gend3, and my card is a Sony MagicGate Mark 2. I have games that are both .cso and .iso, and I've noticed that the .cso games have been more successful in being detected by the card. I've also noticed that most of the games that I have hand-ripped from the UMD are NOT likely to be detected by the PSP. Could this have something to do with it, or is it purely coincidence?

Thanks again for your help!

few things from other sites i can remember, the memory stick if its genuine or not, buying from Chinese website's focalprice dealextreme usually means not (these are the sticks that cause problems), have you formatted it in the pc, fat32 or ntfs are different ways of setting up the way the memory is used, put it in pc go to my computer right click choose properties what does it say you are using.
we need to find out if its your psp or memory stick, any chance you can let someone else try your stick and you try there's, this will show you which is the problem. if my stick worked in another psp and not mine i would personally purely my choice i would downgrade and re-upgrade firmware to see if something happened along the way like a faulty upgrade, i use a cr-5400 with 2x8gb micro sd cards and have no probs on 5.50 gen-d3.
its easier i find to look for what works and your left with what doesn't as with pc's and games machines just looking for what does not work is like a needle in a haystack.
look inside card slot use a torch to help you see can you see any of the little metal pins that make contact with your memory card bent, snapped, twisted, maybe its not making a good contact that's why you not getting all your info.
just a few ideas to start with.

I am 90 % sure it is hacked memory, to make it look larger than it actually is. Format the memory stick so that it is completely empty and then try this tool here: http://mympx.org/Downloads/p13_sectionid/2/p13_fileid/13 and tell us what it gives you.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Thanks for the help guys, I've had that program running for a couple of hours now and it's giving me this:

The media is likely to be defective.
1.9 GByte OK (4006068 sectors)
544.1 MByte DATA LOST (1114507 sectors)
Details:509.6 MByte overwritten (1043851 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
34.5 MByte corrupted (70656 sectors)
410.5 MByte aliased memory (840739 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x000000007a416800
Expected: 0x000000007a416800
Found: 0x0000000003196800
H2testw version 1.3

It still has a ways to go, but it looks like it's safe to say that I have a counterfeit :/ Oh well, I'll contact the seller and hopefully get my money back. Does anybody know of a reputable seller to buy a 16 gb memory stick for a reasonable price? Thanks again!

Do you mean me? No, mine (that one from the dealextreme link) is a real Photofast, works great, never experienced any problems. I am using it with two Sandisk microSD cards I got pretty cheap (as a reward for buying two mobile Sim cards).
There also is a non-Photofast one on dealextreme, it's like 1 USD cheaper but the built quality isn't as good.
