Hi,

I ahve a psp 1001, with 5.51 firmware on it. I was modding it the other day. At somepoint i found out that i need a pandora abttery. then, i hardmodded it. everything going fine, i finished modding my psp (with an 8gb microsd with an adapter, even though psp says it's not a valid magic stick).

Then, I ahd a few problems with my psp crashing, and when i didn't have my adapter, i couldn't boot up(because i forgot to/ messsed up on backing up battery's eeprom.)

Yesterday, I tried to resolder the leg of that chip back onto the battery, and failed. got solder all over all 4 legs. the abttery still works(after all of that, and also, when opening it for the first time i stabebd it about .5 inch :) still works), but when i take out the adapter, after ~2secs, it says it's empty abttery, even though it's full. obviously, it's the problem with the chip, have i killed it completely? also, what does the chip do? also, would _anything_ work if i just took off the whole chip? and, lastly, if i didn't mess up the chip, could i ahve used another battery's eeprom to use on mine and make mine non-pandora?

Thanks in advance!

I might not agree with what you have to say, but I'll fight to protect your right to encrypt it.
-someone somewhere somehow.

You can leave the time machine IPL on the memory stick and it will allow the PSP to function like normal.
