Hi
I have bought my son a PSP2006 from Singapore that was modified to play ISO game files. It worked for a while then now doesnt access the ISO files anymore. I can see them on the 8Gb memory card in a directory called ISO via a PC, some are ISO image files and some are CSO files. But when we use Game and then Saved Data Utility on the PSP it says "there is no data". There is also a folder in ISO called VIDEO but there is nothing in it.
The software version is 5.03
Anyone any ideas on how to rectify this please?

backup your files the iso's and the cso's, also backup the savegame data, just copy if to your computer. then format your card, put them back in and should be ok. taking the card out if it is in the process of writing can cause broken links in the file structure causing these symptoms. after backup be sure to copy back to the folders on the psp.

The firmware version only says 5.03? Or does it say 5.03 M33?
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Hi,
I did what you suggested peluynati but it was still the same. After formatting the card there were still files left on the stick but the ISO folder had gone so I replaced everything on the stick anyway. The format was very fast, a matter of seconds. is that normal? When I go back to Saved Data Utility it still displays "there is no data". Before the problem occured it would list all the games on the stick.
I did a software upgrade today in order to get it to work with our PS3 and now the software version is 6.20 but it doesnt say 6.20 M33

Hi
I updated the firmware AFTER the problem started as it popped up as the latest version. the unit was originally on V5.03 when I bought it.
I have seen an ad on that site you gave the link for who will install V5.03 M33 firmware that will restore the hack for 20 quid.Am considering that....
So would I need to do some of the stuff it says on the hack site using a pandora battery??

Hi
Further to this thread, I have purchased a pandora battery from buy-pandora-battery.co.uk and followed a video which looked very useful for my case on YouTube. managed to get all the downloads suggested by the video with no probs but now after installing the pandora battery the green power LED comes on but nothing else happens, the screen stays blank and the PSP does not power on. Three other comments on the youtube video point out the same thing.
I have emailed buy-pandora-battery.co.uk but have had no response. I wanted to ask if its something to do with anything on the battery. I wondered if I need one of THEIR memory sticks aswell as the battery.
I made a magic memory stick as per how it is explained in the youtube video.
The PSP is currently stuck on V6.20
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers.

Hi
I ran thru this suggested link but other than the MMS maker it was the same as the youtube video I used. The result was the same.
When I start the PSP I already have the MMS in it as I made it in the PSP in USB mode. I hold down the L1 transparent key and insert the Pandora battery. The green power led illuminates but that is all that happens.
after some research on other threads i found one that may apply to my case from Robedom 1, Feb 2006
Q: Can the v3 motherboards be hacked using Pandora?
A: Sadly, no, permanent hacks have not be released for the v3 motherboards. Newer PSP 2000 models and PSP-3000 currently have no permanent CFW. Instead, the Custom firmware is flashed to the system's RAM and is erased completely once your PSP is shutdown.[/b]
when i bought the PSP the guy told me to never switch it off and never let it get to low battery or take the battery out. That would seem to coincide with what has been stated above.
So how do I get around this and flash the CFW onto the RAM?
How do i check what type of motherboard I have?
Cheers.

Hi
Thanks for that.
I have seen lots about chickHEN but the only question I have is that the forum posts and youtube videos I have seen all dont state what the starting version of firmware was before the change to V5.00 M33.
I have a feeling they may have been lower than V6.20 which I am on. That may give me an issue.
Obviously the PSP was already modified when I got it, and now I think I have established how they actually did it. But doesnt seem like the usual way as pandora batteries seem more common than HEN.
Cheers

the firmware is referring to the original that was on it. if you have the 88v3 motherboard, hen is your only option.

According to one post I have just been reading it says chickHEN is for V5.03 and below and above 5.03 it will not work.
I'll have to confirm the motherboard version first I guess....

that would be a good start, but i have read that people are using hen on psp 3000 models so i'm sure there is a way around it.

I have caqrried out the following tutorial I found:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/f133/vid...ost1261953.html
But when i get to the part about going into Photo on the PSP and selecting the 5th image in ChickHEN the 5th inage says "corrupted data" and of course does not run.
So I can put in chickHEN but cannot execute it
I then ran the following tutorial to downgrade the software to V5.03:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/f133/vid...ost1260672.html
I can see the V5.03 Update on the memory stick as in the video but when I try to execute it it comes up saying "your software version is V6.20 there is no need to update"
So I think I am stuck because of this V6.20.....
