OK first off i have been out of the scene here for awhile, i want to play new games, but i cant get a newer firmware than 3.52 m33-4 on my psp 1001, it just keeps telling me to wait. I am familiar with old loaders and such. My question is, and im kinda unsure about the whole downgrade and upgrade or update thing, especially now, anyway my question is what exactly do i need to do to play newer games? Do i have to go form 3.52 m33-4 to 3.71m33 then to 4.01, then to 5? And please give it to me like a dummy, cause i have done tutorials in the past and know its best to be very thurough rather than be vague and give dead links. Thanks

okay so i figured it out, i had to hold the R button down when i startup the psp and switch back the kernel to 3.52, and then run the 5.00 update with the SONY OFFICIAL 5.00 UPDATE in the psp/game/update folder renamed to 500.pbp and then ran the updater :)
