So I went through some of my old boxes and I found my old PSP...PSP1001 Version 2.81. My friend has it where he can just download games directly on to his PSP. I would love to be able to do this. If someone could guide me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I know how to jailbreak a Iphone pretty well. So i have general experience. I also have a 1G Memeory Stick. Thank you in advance

You need to update to 5.03 official firmware
Use the chickhen exploit to load custom firmware
Of the custom firmware available I use 5.00m33-6, with the prometheus 3 files added.

With very little research this should give you what you want for "zero" cost

this gives the steps

For a 1000 you will need different chickhen files but that is the only difference

Thank you so much, this worked. I only have a 1g stick is there a way to use a portable hard drive instead of a stick?
