I've been looking all over for a couple hours now and I've tried all kinds of video, websites, etc. I'm getting the gist of what I need to know about modding PSP's.

I just need some clarification on if I know what's going on with this.


I have a PSP that has a code of 5C under the battery. It is a 1000 series (1001) so both of those things right there tell me it's hackable. I have OFW 5.50 on it and the only way I can downgrade it would be with a pandora battery.


Now, if I had a pandora battery and the magic memory stick, what would I downgrade it to? Does it matter as long as it's lower than 5.03? I want to put 5.50 Gen-d3 on it but I can't put that on there unless I have already have CFW on it. Somewhere I read said that I needed 5.00 m44-6 or something like that before I could upgrade to 5.50 gen-d3. I can use the pandora battery to get 5.00 m44-6 (whatever it's called) right?

most magic memory stick programs or DC1-8 or whatever are going to have M33 files on them so chances are you will be going that route, though there is a GEN mms pandora maker and i have upgraded from as low as 5.00 m33-4 straight to 5.50 GEN-D3 and would recommend it since its better for playing the later umds

Alright thank you. I'm planning on buying a Pandora Battery and a MMS online soon. The MMS comes with 5.00M33-6 CFW so I should be set. I can figure out the rest when I get it. It shouldn't be too hard to get the firmware on their and then updated to D3.
