Pandora & MMS doesn't work with GEN

I noticed that I could only boot when feathering in the MMS after power up. That was when I upgraded to B2 from 5.00 m33-6. It seemed like too much of a hassle to do this everytime I powered up or exited a game. Plus Yoshihiro came out with a decrypter that patched the ISOs/CSOs to work with M33-6. I decided to move up to D3 because some ISOs/CSOs were out that required it. I found out that I didn?t have the latest Despertar del Cemeterio so I upgraded that to v8. This was necessary to have the XGEN Pandora updater complete without error. I did this thinking that maybe it was why I had issues with the B2 install. That being done, I went ahead and upgraded to D3. I encountered the same issue as before with B2.



Here is the new part. I fiddled with it and found that if I power up with only the Pandora, only the MMS, or both inserted it wouldn?t startup. So I happened to have a regular MS and put some new ISOs/CSOs on it. I inserted it without the Pandora. I used AC power and it started up like a champ. This leads me to believe that Gen is not compatible with Pandora or MMS during standard use but only during install. I don?t have a full understanding of IPL(Time Machine) so I don?t know what role it plays in this. What are your thoughts?

Also my friend has Gen-B2 on his PSP and uses his Pandora's and MMS with no problems. He also converted direct from m33-6.

I have a phat 1001 that I upgraded from 5.00 m33-6 straight to gen-D3. I have used zzk2001's method (youtube) to create pandora battery and MMS for 5.00 m33-x. Virtually no changes to MMS except recent update to Despertar del Cementerio v8.
