Hello, I am having trouble playing my Final Fantasy VII on my CFW psp. I am currently on GEN D-3. When I try to boot up FFVII, I get a 8000004 error.

I have tried changing my version.txt to 5.50 and enabling it in the recovery menu, but that didn't help.

Can anyone assist me?

Your title says it all. For the most part, PSN games cannot be played on CFW.

Uh yes they can, I'm running 5.00m33-4 and they work perfect. But what you gotta get is popsloader for your firmware you can google it, for some reason I don't need it because my psp can play psn games without popsloader, when you google it try typing in posploader for " your firmware" and download it, you can find instructions on how to use it too.

Well strange enough it works on another memory stick.
It's an unnoficial one that gives me the error, though it's the only game that gives me this particular error.

On an official memory stick, I can play it with no problems.

Though I had already completed FF7 for the most part before, with another Eboot. Meaning I have a save file that I'd like to get working with the PSN version. But no luck there yet.

I got it working. I hade a save folder with the same name as my game folder. That caused the screw up.

Though I can't acces my saves from my previous FF7 run on psp. The Game and save ID are identical, so they should work right?
