I have a PSP-1004 that I decided I finally want to start playing again after 2 or so years since, seeing as there are lots of new nice games out now.

I'm running 1.50 firmware, which I downgraded ages ago from 2.00. So it's not any custom firmware, it's the actual 1.50. I used Devhook back then to play my games while keeping my homebrew intact.

Things have changed significantly since the Devhook days and I'm having a bit of a hard tie finding out exactly what I should do. Many of the Sticky's or guides aren't quite up to date and I get completely confused by all this talk of a special Pandora battery and a Magic stick, which I don't know if I need.

All in all I would like a way to play the latest PSP games while keeping intact my homebrew capabilites. I would like advice on where to start and what to do. Any and all advice and help is greatly appreciated.

I assume getting rid of Devhook would work to begin with...

If you have any questions or need me to clarify something, please tell me so.

Okay after researching the webs for the god knows what time I've kind of figured out how to upgrade 1.50 to 5.50 GEN-D3 (Which I think is the latest CFW.)

What confuses me is whether I need a Pandora battery and a Magic Memory Stick, and if I do, the for what purpose.
