hi all, was wondering if anyone could help me. i am looking to install a custom firmware on my psp slim & lite (2003)> i am currently running 5.03 chicHen r2 firmware but now do not know if i can install a custom firmware, or what one i should install. my psp has a ta088 v1/v2 motherboard. i would be greatfull for any help.

Can I run Custom firmware - if you use PSP Ident (a homebrew run from Chickhen it will tell you exactly what motherboard you have) - use google to see if you can fully hack it.

If you can you can load custom firmware via this -

(also they have pspident in the package)

I recommend 5.00m33-6, it is still the most stable and has an option in the settings to speed up the memory card. However all your new games do need to be patched to work. Gen-d plays them all directly but it does have some issues
