Problem with button lock while on AC power

I upgraded my PSP to 5.50 GEN-D2 and everything went perfectly. Everything runs great. I have one odd thing that changed and I hope someone here can help me find the solution.

After the update I am unable to play games while on AC power. As soon as I plug in the AC the button lock symbol shows on the screen and the buttons are locked even though the switch is not in the lock position. Prior to the update I could play with AC power with no problems.

I have done alot of searching for this and I have gone through every menu I can find. Anyone have any ideas?

There is nothing in any menu to account for this.

I can only think it is a coincidence, the power switch and power connector are all on the same board. I have had issues with the switch turning the unit on and off but never locking the buttons.

The only suggestion is to replace the power board, they are very cheap and as long as you are careful not too difficult to change (no soldering but you do have to remove the screen
