Hi,

first off i have searched for about two days and couldn't find an answer to this so apologies if it has been answered.

I have a white, fat psp (ICI003 in the umd drive) which i got second hand pre-loaded with 3.03 OE C. I love the old psx games but when i play final fantasy 7 and metal gear (backups obviously...) the screen is offset down by half a cm, which is irritating at the very least.

I've tried the 1.5 recovery menu which seems to do nothing (screen goes black, no progress for over 15 minutes, couldn't find a guide saying that was normal) and i've tried various winstallers (3.xx ones as far as i can remember) i've also attempted the oeupdmaker/psar process myself but with no luck. the error message i get is "The game could not be started (8002041C)" whenever i attempt any of the update programmes. the only unusual thing being in the UK is that i think it's an import machine (or something like that) as the X and O button functions are reversed (O to confirm/X to cancel) but i can't imagine why that would make a difference.

any advice is greatly appreciated, the pleasure of playing psx games on the go is enough, would just be great to be able to see ff7 without squinting or cutting off the screen.
