PSOne game save file ID changing?

Hi

I was playing FF8 (a converstion I made myself from my legit copy) on M33 and got to midway through disc 2, then it came out on PlayStation Store (UK), so I bought it (I have 2 PSP's one with OFW and one with CFW). I was wondering if there is any way I can change the game ID on the save files so that I can use the saves I have from the POPs version on the PS Store version? I was getting fed up with the crashes midway through boss battles anyway but as I have paid again I would like to use it.

Update: I think I originally used the Syphon Filter code that everyone recommends
