PSP 3000 SERIES FIRMWARE 4.20 Still unhackable?

I tried searching the forum and I found some older threads about PSP 3000 being unhackable. It has firmware 4.20.


Did they come up with a hack yet?

No permanent hack. But you might want to look into ChickHen.

I upgraded my PSP to 5.03

Then I ran chickhen r2

Then I patched it with Gen-A and GenB full. in system information I am getting "5.0 GEN-B (FULL).

I put some CSOs(assassin creed, burnout) in PSPDRIVE:\ISO\

But when I try to load one of the games, it looks like It's about load, then it flashes with a black screen and returns back to XMB with message "the game could not be started (80020321)

Please help. thanks.

GO into the settings and disable umd autoload and cache. theres also an option in the recovery menu involving umds, you may want to disable that as well.

Also you dont need to install gen-a then gen-b, installing gen-b straight after the hen works.

I followed the guide and disabled UMD auto start and UMD cache when I installed chickhen.

not sure what recovery option you're talking about.


Yet 3 of csos that I have, don't work.

1) What is set in the recovery settings (press select when in the main menu) Need to select the memory stick!

or

2)You have a badly ripped (or early rip ) of the game, put a genuine UMD in the drive (the iso will take bits that it needs off it) or get an unripped version
