i just got a psp and was wondering can the one i have (3001 version 4.21) be hacked so i can play nes games etc but also download iso and play them on my psp.

Yes, update to 5.03!!! Not anything else. Then use chickHEN, after that custom firmware enabled will allow you to play ISOs. Only problem is that the psp is not fully hacked. If u turn off or reset u need to reactivate chickHEN then custom firmware again

so i installed ChickHEN R2 like i was pose to (H.bin in roots, and the Chickhen folder in the photo folder) and all it does is freezes my psp and makes it auto reboot. i have tried the moving back and forth between the memory stick and the files, but it still just locks up :( any help?

When it auto reboots u have successfully activated the exploit.

it doesnt update to chickhen(screen doesnt change etc, just freezes and goes dead.

Try it but without any und inside, reset to default settings, and turn off umd cache. Then try it.
