PSP Battery Help?

I just bought a used psp from a friend, i'm new to all the stuff. The psp doesnt seem to turn on. I switch the button on and the green light only lasts for a couple of secs. Does this means that the battery is low?

1)have you tried the battery in another PSP and it works fine?
2) does the PSP turn on with the charger cable in?

sounds like its bricked if 1 yes and 2 no. you need a Pandora battery to unbrick it!!!

No, its not bricked now. It turns on and while its charging too. Now it just freezes to much.
