Recently my psp bricked when trying to go from 5.00 cfw to GEN A and i just unbricked it today. That set my fw to 1.5, I than went to 3.52, and than to 3.8 cfw. Now while im at the CFW I cant seem to get anything to work at ALL! Everytime I try to start something it gives me the (80020148) game could not be started code. I tried going to the recovery menu, when I turn the system on it will absolutely not take me to the recov menu. So i reformated my memory stick, and i got the basics back on memory stick again. Come someone help me? My psp was fine for a while, i played iso's and psx games on it for a long time until i tried to update it again. All I want to play is persona (iso format) and i need gen B fw. This is so frustrating can you guys help? BTW i have a memory stick and the white pandora battery, i ordered both and the memory stick came with the program for the pandora on it already but i reformated it, but now im at 3.8 and stuck and cant get into the recov menu, so can you help?
if u tried repeatedly to boot into recovery then i doubt u hav cfw. dnt upgrade anymore and use the rains mms maker link in my sig 2make the mms and then use that 2downgrade 2 150 or w/e cfw u choose in the drop down menu in the app. then use the upgrade to any cfw link in my sig 2 upgrade successfully 2 gen b2
rains ul mms maker is for upgrading straight 2 500 m33-4
rains simple is for 150, 371, 380, 390, and 401 cfw

If you want to play persona on your PSP, you will need PSP FW 5.55 and since OFWs CANNOT play .iso files, you wiil need yo buy a UMD disk.This shouldnt be a problem 'cause you have a pandora battery as you can downgrade it back to custom firmware when ever you want.
i tried patchin persona with umdgen and the decrypter wnt read the eboot cuz its written from another region so ya ull just hav 2 buy it and upgrade IF u REALLY wanna play this game and i think i speak 4every1 wen i say NO GAME IS WORTH UPGRADING :(
