Hi, as you can see, I'm quite new here so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes..
First of all, I bought a 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (I tested it and confirmed fake MS). When I tried it on my PSP (Slim), my PSP has black screen, green light is on (no blinking). Nothing happens. The green light is on unless I turn the PSP off myself.
I've found a solution to this though. I used my 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (which I think is original) to boot up my PSP and it worked. When my PSP is on the XMB, I removed the 4GB MS and inserted the 8GB MS. Nothing happened and I was back to playing, except when I found out "James Cameron Avatar the Game" only works on 5.50 GEN-D3.
I updated my PSP to GEN-D3 and played for a few days. Been using the method I mentioned earlier to play the 8GB MS. Until last night, after I finished playing, I went back to the XMB menu and removed the 8GB MS and inserted 4GB MS before I turn off the PSP (which I always do).
When I inserted the 4GB MS, the PSP didn't read it at first, so I removed it (this may be the reason to what's going to happen next.). When I reinserted the MS, the PSP read it but.. instead of having 100+ MB, it became 8MB. I didn't had time to check it out 'cause I was going to sleep.
So, on the next day, I don't have any methods left to boot up my PSP (even go to Recovery Mode). Until I found out that removing my battery and using my AC Adaptor as a Power Source could boot up my PSP. I first went to the Recovery Mode and restored the Flash0 settings and stuff to default to make sure my PSP wasn't semi-bricked.
After doing it, I inserted the battery again without AC Adaptor and the same thing happened. So, I just used the AC Adaptor method again to boot up the PSP then after it is on the XMB menu, I inserted the battery before removing the Adaptor so I could play again.
My questions are:
1. What happened to my 4GB MS?
2. How can I get my PSP to boot up normally again?
3. Are there fixes to any problems that I mentioned in my story?
P.S. Sorry if my post is too long. I just made sure that my story is detailed enough for all of you to understand it well.

you can hard mod a battery not something i have done myself, if you have a friend on gen firmware they can switch you battery between normal and pandora via software, i just bought the one in my link simple idiot proof option.
