Hi,this may be a really nub question(Sorry if it is!) but I recently bought my PSP last week(psp-1001 Ver 3.30). Just wanted to know if it is possible to mod it to run iso's and such like homebrews. If so, where can I start and how easy is it to do. I have much experience modding my old xbox, ps2, wii, etc... Thanks in advance for your answers and input.
P.S. sorry if I somehow posted in the wrong section or any bad grammar mistakes in advance.

First off, welcome to the forums-You have found one of the best places on earth for all of your psp inquiries....(9 out of 10 Google searches can't be wrong).
In any event, the information you require to get started can be found *HERE*-Alternatively, a google search of 'Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick' could possibly make your head explode, so do be cautious.
No problem, while I realize that guide may a bit dated, it should still serve its purpose...The only real tough part of that guide for you will be finding an unpatched Lumines game which is why many people just go the pandora battery/mms route...You can get a pandora set pretty much anywhere these days..Just do some research before you buy so you dont get ripped off.
Hi!
I read your post so I just wanted to inform you that you dont need to purchase a pandora to play ISOs.You can do it for free!
Just go here and it will provide the instructions and softwares needed to install custom firmware which allows you to play games:
http://www.atmaxplorer.com//2009/06/inst...r-via-chickhen/
^^and that works for fat psp's as well? I was under the impression it did not. And from my experience, chickHEN is buggy at best, and is more or less a quick-fix for folks that cannot install actual custom firmware on their psp (psp 2/3000 w/ TA-088v3 motherboard)
I agree. ChickHEN is buggy but CFW Enabler is very stable. And it works for all PSP models including psp 2/3000 w/ TA-088v3 motherboard. I have a PSP 3004 and it woks fine with me :-)
