Hey All,

Just curious if anyone else as came across this issue.
I have a Jax and Daxter PSP (2001 think TA85) that has an odd issue holding a charge.

The issue is that the battery drains at approximately the same rate whether the PSP is turned on or off (or standby). So if I shut the PSP off and leave it overnight by morning it is completely drained and I have to enter the date/time ect. The PSP recognizes the battery fine, the battery drains at a normal rate while playing and the psp even charges the battery fine.

This happened before the PSP was modded (Its now running 5.50 Gens-B) and since.

Things I have tried so far.
-If the battery is taken out of the PSP it does not lose a charge.
-Just to be safe I have tried a second battery and the same issue occurs (and this battery is fine in another PSP).
-If I shut the PSP down, take the battery out, then pop it back in without turning the PSP on, the issue still occurs.
-I have tried with our with a UMD.
-I have reset all settings and tried a different memory card.

This last step leads me to believe that it is a hardware issue with the PSP as the PSP being turned on doesn't appear to come into play (attempting to rule out a software glitch not telling the battery that the PSP was shutting down or something of the sort). Anyone ever heard of this or have any ideas on what could cause this? I have considered buying a replacement Power Inverter or Power Circuit Board, but as it charges the batteries fine, I am at a total loss. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
