I had my PSP in sleep mode for about two days with the ac adpater plugged in (because I heard that it was better for the battery that way) and didn't touch it at all because I was away. When I came back last night I plugged in the USB cable to put some games into it. While I was looking through my computer folders there was this sound from the computer that shows the PSP has disconnected, and when I looked, the PSP has turned off.
I tried turning it on but it wouldn't. I plugged in the ac adapter and no light comes on. I took out the battery and tried turning it on with the ac adapter plugged in, but still no light and no turning on. I even tried taking out the memory card and battery but it still doesn't turn on. i let the battery sit for about 11 hours and put it in, no light. Take it out again and still no light. I also tried plugging the usb cable in, no light.
I'm not sure what the problem is, and I don't have friends that have PSPs so that I can test what's the problem. Please help ><

Thanks for replying!
Yes I tried that but no lights or anything.
I bought a new AC Adapter this morning and plugged it in with the battery removed. The PSP turned on and worked fine. But then I put the battery in and plugged it in, the red/orange light came on to indicate it was charging. I thought it was all fine until 10 mins later where the light turned off. I tried turning it on but it didn't. I cannot turn the PSP on with the battery in it, and if I take out the battery and put it in again, the red light comes up for a few minutes before turning off.
What's wrong with the battery? It's a new one.
And I'm just wondering if having the AC adapter and USB cable plugged in at the same time will damage the PSP in any way? :o
First of all, the battery, is it an original Sony one or a cheap third party?
Also who told you that it was better for the battery to keep the PSP in sleep mode and plugged in to the AC addapter? Let me guess, you are on a non-permanent CFW?
About the USB thing, what kind of PSP?
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

The battery is a Sony one :3
I read it online in a few different sites. Because the battery will become unusable if not charged for a long time or something so it was healthier to keep it in sleep mode. Was it incorrect? :o So it is better not to keep it in sleep mode?
Yes I'm using CFW. My PSP has firmware 5.03, is PSP3000.
