Ok, so I downloaded 3 videos from Youtube, following some instructions that I got, and I want to put them on my PSP. They are all mp4, and as far as I can tell, they all share the same required information for the PSP. However, I got only one of the videos to actually work on my PSP, and it runs totally fine. The problem is the other two, I followed the same steps as I did for the first one but when I try to play them, they just show a box with a question mark, and it says "The data type is not supported." I am totally stumped on what to do, does anybody have any idea what is wrong?
the mp4 doesn't work on the psp, but does it playback on your pc using whatever media player you use? what i am asking is, you are sure the original downloaded mp4 are not corrupted?
maybe if you convert the mp4 files using the video converters might fix it up? i know that it is already mp4 format, so it is questionable to use a video converter. however, from my understanding, mp4 is kinda like a container and perhaps the mp4 downloaded is not quite in the right format to use on the psp. i use winAVI video converter.
have you got a iPod which playbacks video? the reason i ask this is if the mp4 in question plays back on the iPod then generally it should playback on the psp as well. if the iPod also struggles to playback these mp4 then the issue is with conversion/compatibility...
