Hi all!
I'm having a problem with my PSP GEN-B2 (phat:10003).
I've been trying to boot some PSX eboots, but they won't work!(not matter what pops I use!) I have pops enabled in the VSH Menu and also in the Advance Settings, one game did work (which was FF6), but nothing else will! I'm trying to get Metal Gear Solid working, but it ether freezes on the select pops screen or go black (but lets me press home for options)???
I'm really confused! I've been searching google for hours now, but can't find any help with this, one forum said that MGS and FF7 work on GEN-B2, but not for me! All these PSX eboots worked on 5.00 M33 but not GEN-B or GEN-B2! (I've also tried RE2, RE3, Parasite Eve, and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare.).
Please help me on this one, really wanna play these games!
(also, I've checked gamerspress.com PSX on PSP Compatibility List, but it didn't help)

if thats the case, how comes my eboot of Final Fantasy 6 works? and people reporting MGS and Final Fantasy 7 working? Didn't see anything about psx games nolonger working on google. Also, why would 5.50 GEN have pops under the Advance Settings in the VSH Recovery Menu?
I'm really confused!

click here extract file, i put it in the seplugins folder if it does not work go to recovery and enable all plugins, it runs all my PSX/PS1 games from Eboot. just drag the SEPLUGINS folder to the root of the card overwriting the seplugins folder and run like the popsloader did on m33 firmware.
simples lol
PSX/PS1 games support has not stopped at 5.00m33-6 firmware

thanks for the plugins, but still got the problem... =/
you think it could be my eboots? do they need patching or something? see, I saved them all onto discs when I made them. Should I try remaking them, if so, whats the latest and best software for making psx eboots (with multi disc support)that work on 5.50 GEN?
many thanks!

I had this problem also when I upgraded my firmware to GEN B. I couldn't run Final Fantasy VIII or Suikoden. To fix this you need to get and install the popsloader for GEN B firmware.

pops.prx files lol, after the givin advice about pops, I had the popsloader plugin, but not the files needed to run the versions of pops lol.
I had no idea I needed to dump all the files from other ofw's lol. Before they use to be included in the downloads for popsloaders.
BUT ALL'S GRAVY NOW! ^^
I still don't understand how my FF6 eboot ran without them =/ maybe cause of the original flash pops (just my guess)
