I read that they are hackable, and also that they aren't.

Which is it and how do I find a guide?

I haven't been in the PSP scene for a while now. Last time I knew TA-088v3 systems where not hackable. But that could be different now.

you're pretty much stuck on official. last i've heard chickHEN only works on 5.03 and lower. and since pandora's battery is completely blocked on the v3, there's no way to get custom firmware.
