Trouble Upgrading 5.00 M33-6

Ive been trying for the past four days to upgrade my slim psp 2000 w/ 5.00 m33-6 software,.. i got the pandora bat, mms, but i cant get 5.50 gen d3 to work, it says i need gen d2 to work, but gen 5.50 gen XX wont work until 5.50 itself it on it. ive been trying to find a working copy of gen a, but it always shows up as corrupted data. this is getting really annoying to me, if anyone can help please help me. :( i have a copy of gran turismo that i want to play, and i get the "can't play this game" gran turismo was my fav game, please help out a fellow gamer. thank you

what firmware do you have now? you need at least 5.00m33 and then go straight to gend3 here is a link.

if you are still on 500 m33-6 the put this in the game folder, and put the 5.50pbp on the root. should work no problems.

i tried doing as you said, i placed the file in the psp/game/update folder and the 550.pbp in the root, and it came up as corrupted data, this has happened with all of the updates i have tried, and i tried using different "versions" ..gen-x from this site, gen-x from that site, it always comes up as corrupted, any other ideas?? thank you very much for trying though, :D its much appreciated
