can anyone help? i recently found my old psp :D a 1003 model i think, its old anyway. it had firmware version 2.5 on, i was trying to downgrade to version 1.5 but did not have a copy of GTA.
anyway i was told to UPGRADE to version 2.71? then use an easy downgrader to 1.5
i did this however the update failed?! :( got stuck at 99%
my psp is now bricked! and im brickin it! (ie. pooping my pants). what to do!? im a total n00b! all im getting is pandora poopy battery advice i dont even know what that means :s aaaaaaagh! whose pandora?
help peepus! any (idiot proof) advice appreciated. or better still can anyone out there fix for me? will pay $20/ £10-£15.

Try holding down /\+[]+select+start while you turn your psp on. (i think it only works on flash1 bricks, yours is a flash0)

You need a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory stick. A Pandora Battery is a special sort of battery with a modified chip. You could turn your own battery into one, but I don't recommend that, go to www.dealextreme.com and buy one there (make sure to get one for Phat PSPs). For the Magic Memory Stick you need a normal memory stick and a Magic Memory Stick maker, which can be found via google. Then use one of the many youtube-videos that show how to unbrick a PSP with a Pandora Battery.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

why the f would you downgrade to 1.5 when you have greats CFWs such a 5.0 M33-6, 5.5 GEN D3, 5.5 Prometheus-4 or 6.35 PRO-A3?

This is oldschool, the OP was probably following a very old guide (like, the sticky for example), thus the reference to the old (almost ancient) GTA exploit method, as far as I remember that was the 2nd found downgrading possibility, after MPH downgrader from 2.00 to 1.50.

isn't 1.5 the way forward to play all my roms? or isn't it the latest hip thig anymore? what version would u suggest?

I would suggest going to 5.03 official and then use ChickHEN to go either to 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 GEN-D3 (total matter of taste, both outdated) and then go to either 5.00 Prometheus-4 or 5.50 Prometheus-4.
