My psp is on firmware 3.80 M33-5, its a custom firmware.

ive just brought the umd of gran turismo (yes, i brought because polyphony deserve my money for the fine games they make, and people are hurting the games industry by downloading games).

basically to play the game its saying i need to update to firmware 5.55. however i wish to retain my custom firmware.

so can i ask is there any custom firmware out right now that will allow me to play my umd of gran turismo?...

if there isnt, i will just update to official 5.55, but there will be a way back to custom firmware in the future right?...

Yes, it's 5.50 GEN-B2 and you'll need to patch the ISO first with yoshihiro's decrypter.

To patch it, you need to have an iso of it to play on CFW. Or you can update it to OFW.

You can update it to official firmware again and after you're done with the game you can hack your psp again.

u cant patch a umd if u changed usb device in vshmenu u could just drag the io file 2 ur desktop open umdgen and extract the eboot and run decryptor and put eboot back and save it as cso/iso BUT u wouldnt b able 2 put it back in the umd its write protected

but the whole pointof havin cfw is the piracy and hacking am i wrong lol its the dark side of psp world :D yes embrace it hahaha
