Which CFW to use with my V3.80?

Hi- just got my brothers old 1001 PSP with the OFW of 3.80. I need to get the latest and most stable running CFW available. I just did the Pandora's battery and now I need to get the other stuff going.
I've done the NDS several times w the R4 card, but this seems very different.
I've been reading for the past 3 days and still am confused.

I think I need to: install a certain CFW , like CFW 5.00 M33-6- then put the pandora's battery in and install the cfw. then put an ISO folder in the root along with some games , then it will play games? seems as though we're missing a step or steps.
Can anyone please lend some info as to what we actually need to ADD to the PSP in order to run the ISO and CSOs?
