Hi all
Am new to the PSP arena (have done Wii, NDS, PS2), considering purchasing one, but have absolutely no idea which to go for....so which is the best/easiest to mod?
Any recommendations or advice would be most gratefully received.
Cheers
Fester

if your going to get a psp just to hack then you want a 1000 or 2000. the 2000 is the easiest to find right now cause gamestop has them for 100 or so easy.
3000 can not be permanantly hacked mind you.

Also it should be mentioned that also not all 2000s are modable. Under the battery there is a sticker, one field on it says DATE CODE, if that is 8D or higher, the PSP is unmodable, so you need one with DATE CODE 7 with any letter or 8a or 8b. There are some 8c PSPs that are modable, but not all, so buying a PSP with DATE CODE 8c is a bit of gambling. The DATE CODE stands for the year and quarter of the year the PSP was produced in, so 7 is 2007, 8 is 2008 and a is first quarter.
Here is an example for a European PSP produced in the fourth quater of 2007:

You can see it's European because of the model number 2004. 2000 = Japan, 2001 = US, 2002 = Australia, 2003 = UK, 2004 = continental Europe, 2005 = Korea, 2006 = Hong Kong and Singapore, 2007 = Taiwan, 2008 = Russia, 2009 = China.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

these are the black and silver versions. the red blue and white are all able to be modded so those are a very safe bet.

Ok, So i took the plunge and have bought a 2nd hand 2002. its CFW is 6.20, and its date code is 7C.
Am i correct in thinking that I will be able to mod this with a pandora battery...? (there are SO many guides knocking around my head is spinning trying to work out which one I need...)
