Last night I tried turning it on, green power light displays everytime but the screen flashed, and then it shuts down, thought it might be the battery, so I attached the charger while the battery was still in, and it did the same thing. Left it over night turned it on again and it booted to the XMB and then shut down, took out the battery and with the charger only it still shuts down, sometimes instantly, sometimes it lets me get to the XMB, even start a game, but it eventually shuts down. I have a feeling the problem might be something delicate because if I turn it on while it's laying here on my desk it stays on, but the moment I handle it, it shuts down...weird, Id really appreciate it if someone could clue me in on what the problem might be, Thanks.

Hi i would try to install the CFW again , try it wit 5.00 m33-6

if this works well u can b sure it`s a software related problem.

If the psp turns off again i`m sure it`s a hardware based issue.

good luck

It seems to be a hardware problem, because it would turn off while holding it in a normal play position, but while laying on a flat surface it would stay on, I opened it up and made sure all the wires and ribbons were tightly in place. The problem (whatever it was) seems to be solved, but now there's a new one, my HOME and VOL - buttons don't seem to work anymore, so again I have to ask if anyone might know a fix for this, I'll even settle for a home-brew that has a similar Vol/Home(game exiting) function. Thanks for any assistance.
