My 360 works fine at first but freezes after a couple of minutes. Then when I turn it on I get RROD error 0102. If I leave it for awhile it does the same thing. Got a heat gun today and planned to reflow but when I took the heat syncs off all the thermal paste was around the chips but not on them especially the GPU got none on it. Do I need to do a reflow or should I just put new thermal paste on.

I'd try new thermal paste first. I used the one from Best Buy on both of my xboxs and they work great. You'd have to put new thermal paste on anyways

It need to be reflowed if it was just the paste you'd get 2 red rings which is an overheating issue. Spend money on a reflow or buy a Jasper on ebay for about $90 to $100 remember reflows are not a permanent fix could last from a few hours to a year no one knows
