sorry if this has been covered already ( i have used the search at the top)

So My xBox 360 is working perfectly all along on a HD tv but not full 1080p, so i just got a new TV with full 1080p and connected the Xbox with the Hdmi cable, Looks Fantastic only trouble is there is a delay when im using the controller Using Cod 4 im getting murdered left and right because the trigger and my motions are all delayed.
Has anyone else had this and solved it (i have changed the tv setting to 720 HD and the result was the same)

any help would be appreciated

Never heard of that issue before. Try it on a friend's 1080p TV. if it works on the friend's TV, then it means your TV is haunted and needs an exorcism (or just returned/exchanged at the store, but more than likely the exorcism).

I've had this problem with my samsung lcd. I searched google for samsung tv lag and found a work around. It works, and still shows 1080P, but the graphics have poor quality. What kind of HDTV do you have?

there should be a setting in your t.v. menu called game mode or something close to that, just turn it on and lag problems are gone.
you will notice some degrade in graphics but not much.

I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

In my particular situation, I had to connect my hdmi cable to port 2. It's a shared port on my Samsung (HDMI/DVI). It completely took all of the lag/delay out, but the graphics don't look as great. My FPS work great now. I would suggest that you try to see if your Phillips has a shared port with DVI and try to connect to it. I hope it works for you. Here's a link I found that might help you also.

Thanks Fudpucker & BillB , As it turns out i needed to Assign the HDMI port to 'Computer' From a list on my tv. I had tried 'Game Console' which i thought would have worked.but when i called it 'Computer' it worked -

Im still getting killed in COD4 but at least now its my own fault ;)

Thanks again Guys
