I was using this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKr2p6safFQ for the install but paused when the freeboot toolbox maker application asked for my original nand bin file (@ 2:15 of video). My original nand had 1 bad block, in which I had to modify my freeboot.bin file to move it before flashing my nand to complete the initial jtag of my system. My original nand file still has this bad block, can I still use this as the tutorial says or will I have to do something different since it had a bad block, like move it again after I use the freeboot toolbox maker app and get the modified image file???

This tutorial assumes the console is already jtag'd before starting the patch installation procedure. My console is already jtag'd,so I have already dumped my nand several times and compared it. When I performed the initial JTAG, I ended up getting one bad block in my nand repaeatedly, so after I made the freeboot.bin image using my CPU key, I edited the image to move the bad block. The end result is what I flashed back to my console. Now I am trying to apply this patch and the tutorial doesn't mention anything about what to do if you had a bad block in your original nand dump.

Today I will move the bad block again in the new "30ms ping patch" image before flashing it to my console and see what happens...........maybe the guy just forgot that not all original nands are bad block free.
