My tale is one of frustration and sorrow. (Haha).
When I realized that a lot of my xbox games were a bit scratched up, I decided I wanted to back them up. I got a modded xbox from a friend and I purchased some (yeah i know they suck read on) memorex disks. I got an iso for just cause 2 since i didnt wanna rip it myself. All 5 of them didn't work for anything, failing the burn half, 75% or less through. Thats not my problem though. After doing some research, I threw 30$ down on a ten pack of Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. Ive tried to burn 3 so far, and the burns complete, which to me says that the media works great, but when I put it into the xbox thats a different story.
For the discs, I used a different program each time.
Disc 1 - Cookies game burner ; comes up on xbox as "Play DVD" and when pressed freezes on a static xbox logo
Disc 2 - DVD decrypter - Didnt even register, yes i set the layerbreaks and what not
DIsc 3 - IMGburn - comes up on xbox as "Play DVD" and when pressed freezes on a static xbox logo
As you can see, Ive wasted 9 dollars worth of verbatims already, and before I proceed I want to know what I'm doing wrong. If anyone could assist me, that would be great!
Specs -
WIndows 7
XPS 420
PBDS DVD+-RW DH-16W1s ATA device for my dvd drive, no idea how to upgrade the firmware or anything
ANY help would be appreciated. Could it be a problem with the iso?
1. Used Memorexes in the first place
2. Used Cookies Game Burner which is being sold as a re-skinned ImgBurn (ImgBurn is free)
3. You did not tell us or ask the person what firmware the 360 has been modded with
4. Bought Verbatims from a retail store (Online you can get a 20 pack for ~$20)
Basically, you will need to tell use what iXtreme (or Xtreme) firmware the 360 is modded with so that we can assist you further.

Ask the person that you bought it from what firmware it has.

Complicated situation, I know it has a BenQ drive, but he got it from a relative, and hes gonna have to ask later, do you know why this could be happening thats not related to the firmware? it can play back ups, if that helps, ive seen it work
