Hi guys

I have a E198WFP Flat that have VGA and DVI.
I'm trying to connect PC TO VGA AND 360 TO DVI with a DVI to VGA adapter.
I did that and when i press the button for the monitor to change to dvi it don't work, but The 360 works on the vga and the pc dont work with the DVI too. what can be the problem? or i cant have both connected and do like when you play on the tv, just press input.

Does the DVI connection on the monitor ever work?

If not, I assume that is the problem.

I never used it before, I called Dell and they said i cant have both connected at the same time... but then why have vga and dvi

Problem solved then, eh?

I imagine it was just to give you the option. It was probably a cost-cutting measure to not enable switching between the two. You would normally only see that in TVs.

If you are really annoyed by changing the cable, you could always get a VGA switch box that will enable you to switch between two VGA sources with the turn of a knob.
