360 Drive Identification - Lite-On?

My friend has a 360 with a manufacture date of March 05 2008 and S/N 21637818005, and per the diagrams at the bottom of this page( http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/man...box_360_dvd.htm )it falls in the BenQ category.

Is there a way to know the drive isn't a Lite-On per the manufacture date?

I just want to be some what sure he doesn't have a Lite-On before he brings it across town for me to mod.
