360 Hard-drive upgrade flash hack help

Hi guys,

Since I got an Arcade 360, I'm trying to install an actual hard-drive in it without having to shell out for official 360 drives.

I'm trying to follow this mod: http://beta.ivancover.com/wiki/index.php...d_Drive_Upgrade

- which are the same mod only the PC-World link has reference photos.

I already have 2 spare 2.5" drives, an 80gb Toshiba from when I upgraded my laptop, and a 60gb Seagate from when I upgraded my launch PS3. My problem is that according to these tutorials, I'd need a Western Digital, which I don't have any. I want to know if anyone can confirm that this method works for other drives as well and not just WD??

One thing... If you do this, you run the possibility of getting banned from live. If you just search Google or even on the forum here you can find the information quickly and easy, but I'll tell you anyway lol

You can only use the WD Scorpio drive. That's what I found on previous posts. Good luck with the upgrade.
