i've been searching around a bit and can't seem to find an answer to this question, but what exactly differs a disk type from being diffrent from any other disk(obviously i mean DL to other DL disks and not DL to DVD/CD/any other media type)

Hmmm... actually I think a DISK (with a K) refers to a Hard Drive (Hard Disk), and a DISC (with a C) is recordable media like CDs, DVDs, (Compact Disc, Digital Variable Disc, etc...)

The same as any product is what differs any dvd from another "quality" it's as simple as that,so verbatim from singapore is the preferred choice until wabashman says otherwise :p,just look around the forum threads with peeps who complain about read issues or burning & the replies they get

i apologize for the confusion in my first post, let me see if i can clariify, one of the key components of the ixtreme fw's is responding that their is 360 disc media in the dvd drive, what i'm asking is how does the disc's differ in their creation to say it's 360 media disc vs any other regular discs
howver i think webashman managed to understand what i'm asking and provided the answer i was seeking unless he was refering to something else

Forgive me, I knew exactly what you were talking about... thought I'd have a little fun in throwing out some jibber jabber here and there.
