I patched Assassin's Creed 2 to wave 2 and tried to run it on my XBOX 360. First was an update for my dashboard and then it tried update again but it says: Update error, Clean disc and restart console.
But it happens again and again in circle.
I am owner of XBOX 360 version with Hitachi drive, and I do not know what version of eXtreme firmware I have (1.4 or lower I guess)
Any help :S

you need the newest dashboard update get it from xbox.com or i even linked the exact location a few posts up.

For those who can flashing to 1.4 non stealth would be the easier option, though somewhat contradicting myself, the wave patcher doesn't take too long to run and worked perfectly on both the wave 4 games that I patched to wave 3.

This patcher is awesome for those who don't care about the live and stuck with earlier versions of ixtreme.
patched the most anticipated game from wave 4 to wave 2, then updated my console with the latest dashboard update through USB and it works like a charm on my ixtreme 1.5 or 1.4? (plays only wave 2 so i guess it is either one of these)

OK. A little confused regarding Assassin's Creed II. I have a pre-banned (hard drive still working) console with a BenQ running 1.61.
Is Assassin's Creed II wave 5 or wave 4? I've seen several posts that say it is using SS2, which many people are considering wave 5. On abgx, the game is listed as wave 4.
So my question is, can i just run this game without using activate.iso, or do i need to patch it to a specific wave (i.e. wave 4 or 3)? Thanks.

just play it, assassins creed 2 is wave 4, the only game i've seen that contains wave 5 is l4d2, but that is also playable on 1.61 without the activate.iso
the only time to patch the iso to a lower wave is if you have a lower firmware.

I've got a Xbox 360 that is flashed with ixtreme 1.4. I updated the dashboard by using a USB thumb stick and patched the GTA ELC and Assasins Creed 2 games to Wave 2 ISO's...but unfortunately I still keep getting the 'Clean disk' message! Is there anything I am doing wrong here?
Help would be much appreciated!

I have a modded xbox360. I have been playing off line cause when i do sign in i will get banned. Now my 360 has a red lite and says error 74. I can still send it back to get fixed but is that a good idea. Its still under warranty. Will they be able to see that its modded or can any trouble come out of it.

Got a LiteOn flashed to 1.51, wasted 5 discs trying to get CoD MW2 to work, then stumbled upon this post. Anyway, just to confirm it does work, i patched the ISO to Wave 2, burned with ImgBurn @2.4 and it worked first attempt, wish i'd known about this 5 discs ago, lol.

I wasted two DVD-Rs on this freaking program.
I converted Assassin's creed 2 from wave 4 to wave 3, then burned it on my disk (at 2.4x speed). When putting it in my xbox, I got a "mixed media cd" error where the cd wasn't loading properly. Any ideas why this is happening/ how I can fix it?
Is it possible that my dashboard isn't updated enough (does that contribute to my problem)? Help is appreciated.

what verison firmware do you have and dashboard shouldn't matter if you are to old it will do a update loop. Check the file in abgx befor you convert it then convert it.

Has anyone got GTA EFLC to work? I've wasted 3 discs already on it what am I doing wrong?
I converted it to wave2 and it's reading it as a dvd, on one it comes up with the xbox 360 logo on a white screen and on another it comes up with the error message.
Can someone help please I'm wasting a lot of money.

I can't find a folder where to put the wave files. c:programme files/360wavespatcher/wavesdata doesn't exist in my folders.. I'm using 64bit Windows 7.

what media you using?
My Xbox360 has got a Hitachi drive and I use Arita DVD+R DL 2.4X to burn my games on. I used to burn all my older games on these disks as well and never had any problems with it. These older games still seem to work for me. And one more thing, when I tried to use the ppfomatic to patch the games I get the mixed media type message when playing the disk on my Xbox. I checked the ISO's afterwards with Xbox Backup Creater and although they were a pass, i got a message regarding the SplitVid format, namely: Image is SplitVid
Present but Zeroed SplitVid Video Layer1 sectors
Hope this clears up something!
