So, basically I have burnt about 4 activate.iso disks in different ways that have been mentioned around the net, like both layers, one layer. All I know if i've done it correctly yet Dragon Age still doesnt work.
Should I just give up and patch the wave 4 back to wave 3 with the video and PFI?
Will that solve my problems?
Because it seems LOADS of people have done it correct but it just wont work for them.
Use the guide that SeriousEH posted the link to in the post above it works. That is the same guide i used and i use the disc to play COD MW 2, Assassins Creed 2, Dragon Age Orgins. Make sure you follow it exactly as it says even when it comes to the speed and clicking yes or no
Yer cheers man, thing is, i have followed it word for word perfectly, i have a degree in computer science hehe:
THING IS i think its something more because my dvd drive wnt burn at 2.4x says error can only do 4x and other stuff like tht so im gonna try updating firmware, even burning the activate.iso doesnt work for me, I've done it 4 times, 3 of them just spin and make noise and then say eject, and one which im thinking works says play DVD, but then when i replace the disk with a wave 4, it makes noise and says mixed media disk lameeeeee :(
Ill keep trying!
Trying downgrading to wave 3 atm in clone CD because img burn keeps screwing me over lol
why go to all this bother just for dragon age.
i bought it played it for an hour and went back to the shop and changed it for cod mw 2.
just wait a couple more weeks for LT firmware to come out and you dont need the activate disc.

And I bought it, played it for 80 hours, and have every intention of playing through it at least once more, and find it to be far superior to Modern Warfare.
Your opinion isn't gospel, and Dragon Age is well worth all the trouble to play. If you only gave it an hour, you also barely scratched the surface of all that game has to offer.
the point i was making was why ruin 7 discs just for one game!!!
when all you have to do is wait a couple more weeks at the most.
when the lt firmware comes out you wont need the activate disc any more.
i didnt like cod mw 2 either (dragon age was better!!!!)
but i couldnt go back to the same shop twice.. :)
You know the activation disc is working when a white screen is loaded that says to eject the disc to blah blah blah...
If you can't burn a disc at 2.4x, then it's probably the media you're using. Are you using verbatim? If you can't burn at 2.4x, try burning on the slowest speed possible.
