[Question] About the the more recent Xbox360's

Lets say you buy a new Xbox360, Today, would you have a higher chance of getting a 83850c Lite-on Drive? than a 74850c Lite-on Drive?
Because the 83850c model is more new? or is my theory wrong, and the chances are basicly 50/50

the 83850's are a bit more difficult to mod not by much though but the bonus part of it is that you dont neeed to unscrew your drive thus not breaking the warranty seal on the dvd drive

83850c's are alot easier to flash than the older lite-ons. no probe, no nothing. just hook up, and flash it.

i dont know if theres a greater chance to get a 8 series lite on, i bought two 360 last week, from different stores and they both were 7 series

They might of had very old stock, afaik they phased out 74850c months ago.

Look at the date build on the console. You can view this in the hole on the back of the box. If it was built after July 2009 it will have a 83850c drive.

you wont even need to do that the new xbox arcades that come with the 83850c liteons come in a new box it looks very different than the one we are used too still green but all different pictures on it if you see that box its got a 83850c it will also have 512mb of internal memory

Has Anyone Gotten a 83850C Drive in a Pro? I hear there discontinueing Pro's Where they are dropping the Elite price down to 250 near X-mas time
and so i was thinking they might not have put any 83850C drives into any Pros, and then stopped making them....

The hardware is pretty much the same in every xbox 360 version, the chances of getting an 83850C in a pro is just as much as getting it in an elite.
